On January 20th, Donald Trump will take office as America's 45th president. After that happens, the effort to impeach him should begin immediately. It would be an unprecedented step for sure, to begin it that early, but the threat Trump represents to our democracy is unprecedented as well. He threatened to not accept the results if he lost. He stoked violence by his supporters. He has flatly ignored the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. He has sided with Vladmir Putin, a ruthless dictator, against American citizens and intelligence officials who put their lives on the line. The list goes on. He has not even taken office, and he already shown himself to be unfit for office. America can't afford to wait and watch the Trump threat grow. Send Congress a message: Impeach Trump as soon as possible.
