Most Americans pay 6.20% of their incomes to Social Security taxes. But not so the wealthy. The Social Security tax applies only to the first $118,500 of income (the “cap”). As soon anyone reaches that limit, they’re done for the year.

In an online poll of over 40,000 Left Action activists conducted 1/13-1/14, Bernie Sanders topped Hillary Clinton by a 59.8% to 35.5% margin. No other candidate received more than 1% of the vote.
