It's been over 200 years, but there is still nothing in the US Constitution that explicitly prohibits sexual discrimination.
The Equal Rights Amendment would change that. First passed by Congress in 1972, and ratified by 37 states (out of 38 needed), the ERA clearly has the support to become the law of the land. And now it is time for Congress and the remaining states to finish the job.
